We had so much fun playing with the children.
As you can see in the following pictures Andres & Gabi, with the children enjoying themselves with the new goal post.

We then organized a game put together some teams and in no time the excitement was in the air, with laughter and shouts of Joy from the kids, we had a blast!
We are thrilled to be able to bring some joy and laughter to these precious little ones, please pray for this project, as we would like to set up a sports center, and other facilities, all which need sponsorship.

If you are interested in coming with us, meeting the children and seeing for yourself how you can help, please give us a call, we would be very happy to have you come with us.

After school program at the LCKM on Wednesday we help out giving bible stories and singing with the children.

Our own Missionary kids also love to participate telling the stories and teaching the actions to the songs, it's been loads of fun.

Building a Better World!
The primary goal of Family Volunteer Services is to improve the quality of life of others by sharing the life-giving message of love, hope, and salvation found in God's Word. We believe that God's love--applied on a practical level to our daily lives--is the key to resolving many of society's problems, even in the complex and fast-paced world of today. Through imparting the hope and guidance found in the Bible's teachings, we believe that we can work toward building a better world--changing the world, one heart at a time.

The purpose of the 12 Foundation Stones course is to give our students a practical and balanced perspective on biblical principles for everyday living, thus motivating those who take the course to apply these principles, and through this to become leaders in their communities.

The 12 Foundation Stones. This course covers topics such as Bible prophecy, the end time, prayer, hearing from Heaven, salvation, the love of Jesus, seven ways to know God’s will, overcoming problems, witnessing, and more.

We have started a few new 12 Foundation Stones study groups in the area.

They have not only been a source of inspiration to the students but to those of us who give the classes, as it thrills us to be able to help our students grow closer to the Lord, and learn more about his love for them.

For a while we have been faithfully bringing food to the Thabo Mbeki village. Here is sweet Autumn with the one of the sisters. The pastor ensures that the food, that we bring weekly, is distributed to the most needy families.—Our priority job is, and always will be to feed people spiritually. If a man is so hungry that he is distracted by his stomach, we must do our utmost to care for his physical needs as well. Man is a living soul: spirit and body and we seek to care for both where needed.—We want to thank those of you who are enabling us to carry out this feeding scheme.—You will in no wise lose your reward! God bless you!

We want to express a special THANK YOU to each of you who have in some way participated in our work, whether through donated goods, donations, your time and services etc. - without you we would not be able to accomplish the big task the Lord has called us to. A very special THANK YOU goes to Panasonic who this month provided us with an overhead projector, thus facilitating our teaching of classes by enabling everyone to benefit from this visual aid. Gabe, one of our teens, has dedicated his life to just that—to spreading the love of Jesus and some cheer. Here he is distributing some special treats to children in the Thabo Mbeki village.

Our children are an integral part of our work. Here they are seen singing for some of our precious friends. This is not only a way that they spread love and cheer, but also a way for them to express their thankfulness for some of their special blessings.

Projects in JHB

We’ve started an exciting new weekly project this month in the township of: Thabo Umbeky.
Every Saturday from 30 to 100 kids ages 12 to 18 attending, we have motivational classes, bible studies, action songs & games.
On Sunday we have over 10 students ages from 16 to 23, for another class. We also take them donated goods from our sponsors, clothes and food, etc.

Our mission is reaching out to help others in need. Compassion, as exemplified by the Good Samaritan Jesus spoke of, goes far beyond mere sympathy: When it sees a needy situation it does something about it. Compassion puts love into action.

This Christmas has been an exiting one for our "Little Angels" singing troupe!

They have been true Angels bringing love and joy to these elderly, who with smiles and tears thanked them for their songs and happy wishes, the kids gave out hugs freely and enjoyed every minute of it!

Sharing kindness at Christmas is good practice for the way we should be all the rest of the year.

Why not have a birthday party for Me this year? Sing "Happy Birthday to Jesus," make a cake, blow out the candles, and tell Me how much you love Me. After all, it's My birthday!—Jesus

Take a lesson from God in gift giving: His gift didn't show us how powerful He was, how rich He was, or what good taste He had. His gift simply showed us that He loved us more than anything else in the world, and that He was willing to do whatever it took to make our lives wonderful.

No matter what or who you think you are, you always have something to give Me at Christmas. Even the ass had an important contribution on the day of My birth—carrying My mother and Me to Bethlehem.—Jesus

Christmas is a state of mind. It's happiness, gratitude, love, rejoicing, giving, playing, thanking, sacrificing, and remembering. Do those things and you'll never have a hard time "feeling like Christmas."

This is our Children's Christmas Singing group. We have been practising for weeks now and we're almost ready to start. If you know of someplace special that needs some Christmas cheer, please let us know. We'd be happy to visit!

Our school project in Zambia

These are some of the pictures from our last trip to Zambia, with the children from the Flying Angels school in Lusaka.
We have been helping to build here since 1999. It is primarily a school for under privileged children and is growing quickly. When we first started this project there were 20 children attending. Since then the school has taught 500 children, almost half of them orphans, who don’t pay school fees.

Pastor Sakala who runs the school started off with a plot of land and a great desire to help educate these poor children. With the help of our volunteers we built the 1st and 2nd class rooms & toilets in 2000, and 3 more rooms in 2001. Every few months we travel up to Zambia to add to the project and take supplies.

Here is the latest classroom just finished being bult!

Christian, one of the pioneers of this project and the current manager of this project, is organizing the next trip for January2007. Please pray for this, as the 4x4 vehicle that usually does the trip was hijacked last month right in our driveway! The Lord is going to have to do a miracle to supply another one for this trip.

Life in Zambia!

These sweet children despite their poverty and dificulties always have lovely smiles for us. This is more than enough reward for our efforts!
